The DXpedition is now over and we went QRT at 09:56 UTC on 15th March 2018 with 30.139 QSOs in the log. It was an unforgettable adventure to an isolated island of the earth.

We are now back in Germany or the Netherlands. We all thank you for making a QSO with us, and sharing the adventure Rotuma 2018. It was a long exhausting journey to the South Pacific with a great logistical effort and many imponderables, but finally we made it. We enjoyed warm hospitality of the very friendly Rotumans and are richer by another adventure.

We give our heartfelt thanks to Harieta and John Bennett for the warm hospitality. A special thanks go to our Radio friend Antoine N'Yeurt, 3D2AG, for his great logistical help. Antoine and John arranged everything on Fiji as a prerequisite for our success.

We are very gratefull to all our sponsors who made this DXpedition possible. Note: All individual sponsors receive the QSL automatically by mail. (OQRS is not necessary!)

We regret to inform you, that Tony will be not with our team on Rotuma, because of unforeseen work commitments.
Our preparations are on schedule and in one week our team flies from Frankfurt over Singapore to Nadi. After a short stay in Nadi we will fly on Feb. 23th with a small Twin Otter to Rotuma. And then... We will look for you in the pileup.

Everything is okay. The team is very grateful for the great sponsoring from the ham community.
The antenna material (two boxes together 150 kg) stored in Suva at John Bennett. The boxes will be shipped together with the generators and diesel fuel next week with the supply ship to Rotuma. All our equipment is successfully checked and the suitcases are packed. We have again a total of 250 kg Radio equipment! The team members are in a good spirit and looking optimistically forward to a successful DXpedition.

We (Tony 3D2AG, Heye DJ9RR, Ernoe DK2AMM, Hans DL6JGN and Ron PA3EWP) are glad to inform you that our group will be on from Rotuma Island (IOTA OC-060). The operate period is of February 23th to March 16th 2018.

The coordinates: 12o30' S, 177o05' E

Rotuma is a Fijian dependency, consisting of Rotuma Island and nearby islets. These volcanic islands are located 646 kilometres north of Fiji. Rotuma Island itself is 13 kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide, with a land area of approximately 43 square kilometres.
Although the island has been politically part of Fiji since 1881, Rotuman culture more closely resembles that of the Polynesian islands to the east. Because of their Polynesian appearance and distinctive language, Rotumans now constitute a recognizable minority group within the Republic of Fiji.

We have 2 Radio locations on the western peninsula of Rotuma. One in Fapufa in the south. This is the annual QTH of Tony. The second QTH is in Maftoa on the north coast. This is a joint operation using the resources of Tony and the European group. We are guests of Pita Aisea and John Bennett.
At both locations we use diesel gensets for 24h electrical power.
Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. We will use two stations (2x K3, 1x Expert 1,3k-FA and 1x Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.1KFX), a Spiderbeam and vertical antennas.
Subject to a reliable Internet connection, we will upload the log to Clublog on a daily basis. Otherwise the complete log will be uploaded upon our return.
QSL via DK2AMM (OQRS, direct, bureau, LotW).
